I regret that I will be unable to attend the reunion, but as my son will be returning from his mission on March 29th, I will be enjoying that sweet reunion instead.Following graduation from BYU, I was married in the Salt Lake Temple and have lived in Louisiana, Utah, and Colorado. I was blessed with six children, five daughters and on son. They are my greatest joy. My four oldest daughters all graduated from BYU, married in the temple to wonderful husbands and are all staying home and taking care of my eleven grandchildren. All four currently serve in either Relief Society or Primary presidencies.
After graduation, my son attended BYU-I and then served a mission to the Germany Frankfurt Mission. My youngest daughter is a senior and plans on attending BYU-I also. I will miss her when she goes to school.
After twenty-two years of being a stay at home mom, I was divorced in 1996. I returned to school and got a masters degree in Special Education from UNC. I have taught students with learning disabilities for the past twelve years. I enjoy reading, eating out, and my service in the church. I have ser ed in ten stake and ward presidencies as either president or counselor. I have experienced great joy in this service. I am currently serving in the YW.
In the future, I hope to get a doctorate in cognitive functioning, serve a mission, meet my eternal companion (I am trusting in the Lord as to the order).
One memory I have of the semester abroad was being birthday chairperson and ordering a birthday cake for Brother Berrett. Unfortunately there was a language barrier and I ordered one that was a rum cake with mocha frosting!
I often reflect back with fond memories of that wonderful semester and all the friends and experiences.
Love,
Teresa Brown Lowrey
